Just got my R3, and instead of using the USB key I found I can pair my MX Revolution bluetooth mouse with the internal bluetooth.

I find it seems to "lose" the connection every 20 minutes or so (mouse stops for like 30 seconds) then picks it back up.

Any reason this is happening or any way to prevent it? Might it have to do with PCI Express power throttling?

I have had similar issues with Bluetooth mice over the past six or seven years, most of the mice have been Logitech, one Rocketfish, and the computers have been primarily Dell, an HP and a couple of MacBook Pros.

I have several different model Logitech Bluetooth mice, for general computing they work fine, but there is a noticeable lag in physical movement of the mouse and the actual cursor movement on the screen, it is pretty annoying for gaming but typically fine otherwise.

I have not had symptoms exactly as you describe with compete disconnection at such a high frequency (once per 20 minutes), but I do see periodic complete disconnection, to the point that I need to restart the mouse and/or the computer Bluetooth in order to get things working again. Also, it seems like the Bluetooth software will degrade in performance over time and not handle multiple sleep/wake cycles, to the point that the lag is so huge it makes it unusable and a restart of the Bluetooth software and the mouse is necessary to get things back to a usable state. Too much hassle!

It's great to have no USB fob for a wireless mouse, but I have chosen to use one of Logitech's higher end unified controller wireless mouse models and it always connects, no issues zero noticeable lag much better for all forms of computing on my R3. The fob is small and I do not travel with the R3 so I don't have to worry about removing it to fit it in a bag, etc.

My personal advice from experience is to avoid using Bluetooth mice if you want to have a high degree of control over your cursor. That being said, I am currently working on one of my Dell D620 Latitudes with a Kensington Bluetooth fob and a "Logitech® V470 Cordless Laser Mouse for Bluetooth®" and everything is working fine.
