    R3 Internal microphone stopped working

    anyone had an issue with the internal mics stopped working, tried everything but still silent, is this a known problem area....cheers


    they where fine last week

    and external is working as I borrowed a headset and it worked fine

    Do you still have the A00 IDT drivers installed? Run this idtcpl64.cpl

    I will upload it if you don't have it.

    It will tell you if it thinks the audio jack has a microphone plugged in. If it does that would explain onboard mic not working which goes back to the audio jack issues again lmao

    i will look at it but i never had anything plugged in there until the failure and when i do it works fine

    well after much fecking around and trying all sorts of crap I eventually fixed the microphone issue, don't ask me why or how but it is related to the camera, pressing fn F9 cured the problem which enables/disables the camera, it says nothing about the microphone but they must be linked somehow

    You know what that would make sense because the Camera and the stereo mic's are connected by one wire if the camera is off the mic's wouldn't work!
