    I have the r3 (460m/3d)
i have noticed that whenever i have an external monitor plugged in that the gpu doesnt clock down. it stays at 675/1247/0.95. with the monitor unplugged it clocks down to 203/324/0.82 or usally 51/135/0.82.
is this normal behavior? I have the external hooked up via vga. it is 1680x1050.

yes that is normal, the extra clock speeds help run the other monitor.
