Hey,
I got my R3 580m back from the repair depot with the new A10 Bios... The power throttle is present at around 64c![]()
I had done the blind flash A4->A8 before I had to send it in which worked great. Fixed the throttle.
I tried to do this again today but it would not begin to beep/flash when the end key is pressed and the power chord is plugged in. I followed the same steps and even tried a few different things like flashing to A8 back to A4 then blind Flah back to A8 but nothing worked.
The Gpu had to be replaced at the depot.
I had it working well before I had to send it in... no power throttle with the blind flash.
Anyone run into this?
not being able to blind flash again after Bios has been cahnged.
Thank you.

Maybe I am mistaken but I coulda sworn A04 will brick a 3D system.
Why not just flash the vBios to the one where P1 and P0 are the same speed. This is risk free, since you can reflash a bad vBios flash using the intel gpu, and it accomplishes your goal. -
Followed this last time:
http://forum.notebookreview.com/ali...ttling-m17x-r3-580m-without-120hz-screen.html
It worked fine, revert to A04 then blind flash to A08. Even with 120Mhz 3D screen.
Followed the same steps today after getting it back but couldn't be it to work.
I read about the other methods using the CMD prompt, widezu's method but the blind flash seemed the most straight forward. I'm a but of a novice at this. My first rig.
Tested last night... A04 works great with no throttle but no 3D on the laptop display.
Interesting thing is 3D to an external monitor works fine. I have my laptop hooked up to a 3d monitor through the miniDP and it works with A04.
I would still like to flash to A08 or A10 an eliminate the throttle. -
Flashed to A04, could not blind flash to A08 or A10 to fix throttle.
Braved it up and took the GPU out and Blind flashed to A10.... worked perfect. Throttle is GONE.
Can OC to max 750/1770.
R3 back from Depot with A10 Bios, can't blind flash like B4 to fix power throttle
