So my new R3 loses signal to the router A LOT. I thought it was maybe an issue with my ISP but i called the the company and they assured me it was not.

Many times it simply says connected to "linksys" but it stays at "identifying.." like it can't identify the network. I will receive four bars but it says limited access and it will have the little shield with the exclamation point in the corner of the network's name and i don't actually have any network access. Also it picks up a part of my network that i haven't seen before. There is "linksys" and "linksys_ext"

Sometimes it does connect and at a decent speed but it drops within 20 minutes or so and i find the same issues again.

I feel like this is some issue with the settings on my R3 or router that's causing these issues. Any ideas?

Have you tried reinstalling the drivers for the wireless card?

I had the same problem with an Acer laptop, and it turned out to be a conflict with a desktop computer on the network. If you have any other computers on the network I would recommend disconnecting them from the network and seeing if it fixes any problems.

Without an exact model number of your router and wireless card we can't do much to help you.

Depending on the router you could be having issues with the wireless N band (2.4 or 5.2ghz) conflicting with itself or wireless N conflicting with wireless b or............?????.......

    Same with wireless card.

So, exact specs will help us help you figure it out.
