Hey all, not very great with computers as a warning.
Specs : 8g (4gbx2 1600 Kingston Hyper X)
i7-2720QM
AMD 6990m
Killer N 1103
So anyways, I'm a college student so i like to work with my computer on integrated graphics, however when i plug in my keyboard and mouse and monitor back in my dorm, I like to switch to my discrete card so i can game and what not. I noticed after disconnected my mouse and keyboard yesterday that my touchpad isn't responding, so i tried turning off the touchpad with th FN command and then turning it back on. Nothing. I restarted the computer, still nothing. So that's not a big deal, i have a bluetooth mouse that I use in class sometimes, and that doesn't bother me.
However, when i sat down in the room today to relax and play some games, I went to switch my graphics card using the FN+F7 command, and the yes/no command prompt came up. I pressed yes, but the command prompt would disappear, so i checked that all windows and applications were closed and tried again. Nothing. So I went to catalyst control center, and tried to select the "high power gpu" from the buttons, and the it wouldn't even let me try and apply settings. I restarted and attempted the same process, same result.
I do have a warranty on the system, but not the advanced tech support, and the only thing that i have changed is upgrading the stock ram (which i believe is back at home).
Any recommendations?

bigtonyman Desktop Powa!!!
does the discrete card and the touchpad show up in the control panel? I Would try a driver reinstall of both the touchpad and the video card first and see if that fixes the issue.
