Dell doesn't usually update their site until 12PM, slightly after.

But man, I can't wait. I got my money ready to to be spent - that's if the 6970M is available >.>

The link they have at the moment goes for the M17x Classic," which is the R2 since it still features an aluminum chassis. They took down the ordering info for the R3 because they had to stop production temporarily on the R3's due to of the Intel Sandy Bridge recall, and I saw that Intel is going to start shipping the fixed version of those processors on 2/14.

It's the chipset on the motherboard. The CPU is fine.

Kudos to all you guys, I am ready to dump my G73, and was bewildered when I got to the AW site. I guess I will wait for some real world reviews B4 taking the plunge. Do AW's have anyway of backing up the VBIOS, I want to update my ASUS but was told by an ASUS rep if I brick it it would not be covered under warranty (as a result I am on stock VBIOS & video drivers. I guess you canall tell this was my 1st gaming laptop. Thanks, Josea

I wouldn't anticipate the R3 being back on the website until March. Even if it did come back sooner, it would just be for pre-orders. Since Intel doesn't anticipate being back up to full production until April, there may not be enough Sandy Bridge chips to meet demand until then.

you should go over to the Asus G73 forum....i had this before i bought my R3 (one of the few early orders). if you flash the vbios and update the bios of the G73, it is a rock solid system. Well that is unless you are one of the missing keystroke people like i was. (missing 1 out of every 5 keystrokes gets a little annoying) lol

Intel announced a few days ago that it was delivering the revised chipset B3 to OEM starting Monday.

Since the R3 is a small production, I would expect orders to be put through as soon as today and deliveries within 2 to 3 weeks.
