I'm wondering if the 680m in the R3 has a throttle problem like the 580m did?

For those that have the 680m in the R3 - what kind of OC are you getting?

I haven't experienced any throttling whatsoever. The card runs like a beast :) great temperatures too so plenty of room for overclocking, as seen in the above 3D mark score

I haven't seen throttling yet on it. But it could be because of what vic_doom says. Not many Alienware m17x R3 owners wanna loose their 3D screen.

if you got a cooling support under your laptop then it won't throttle even you have overlocked it.

I have notcied with Fraps, that on FarCry 3, apparently im only getting 20fps, even though its smooth as butter.

On crysis 2, Extreme settings, 60fps solid.
