I purchased a new m17xr3 last year. I was rotted at dell poor driver support page so i started searching the internet. Then after finding your site and reading a few of the forms i was starting to believe i had a small understanding of how to keep my Amd drivers updated and some minor system tweeks. (unlocked a08 bios installed )

But.... in the last week or less my cpu has started to lose my Amd Card ... It happens at random times. maybe after i reboot, or the first time i start up my system each day, or after i install a new program that requires a system reboot. when this happens the only graphic option i have is Intel(R) HD Graphics Family. The solution i have found to this problem was to use system restore and select a date from the day before( 3 times this has happened and 3 times i fixed it by using windows restore)

My question is this. Should I be contaction Dell support about the Video card problem i have been expirencing. I have less then 2 months left on my warranty. and if this is a hardware problem I need to arrange for it to be replaced. Or if this is a Software problem what possible is the cause ...

Before you contact Dell, they will probably ask you to wipe your hard drive and reinstall everything first and see if you have the same problem. Also, just for troubleshooting, just use the stock Dell drivers to eliminate any potential third-party issues.
