    Hi guys,

Just installed my new GTX 680m and upon rebooting the laptop, i found it refuses to POST. Boot to the Alienhead and then freezes about 1/3rd of the way along the red bar.

As soon as i removed the GPU, the laptop boots fine on the IGPU.

Help!!! Perhaps i havent enabled something in the BIOS?

Did you flash it to the latest version? Or unlocked version?.
Do you have any other PC where you can test it?
It should be plug n' play. If it did not work then it might be a non-working video card.

Well testing it on another PC would be the best way to go. Maybe a friend can borrow you one for the testing.
You can also try removing all peripherals from the PC and removing components 1 by 1 and see if any other one is interrupting the POST process. (memory, hard drives).
Have you tried a power drain (remove the battery and AC, press and hold the power button for a minute)

I'll give it a try, thanks.

One other thing, could some one tell me waht the BIOS configuration be for Graphics? I disabled the GPU whilst waiting for the new one to arrive, could be that i haven't enable something.

You need a modified INF to make it work. You can get it on laptopvideo2go.com

Use the latest one, for windows 8 first disable driver signing then copy/replace nvdm.inf
    1) Open command prompt (Admin) windows key + X
    2) Type "bcdedit /set {current} testsigning yes" (without quotes) enter.
    3) Type exit and reboot.
    4) Install
    5) Repeat/replace with "bcdedit /set {current} testsigning no" reboot.

So when it comes to newer drivers? Do i just copy and replace the INF everytime or does it only work with this version?
