    Hi Guys,

I just got a 2nd hand R4, still under warranty from dell. Its got a 3610QM CPU @ 2.3Ghz and the 660M gpu.

    installed were 2 x 4gb of ram, pc 1600.

I installed 2 x 8gb of corsair vengeance, but when i booted up windows it only declares 16Gb usable? (It says 24GB installed, and bios A11 shows 24gb also).

how to fix this? ******** edit i think windows 7 home premium x 64 is the limitation..? do i need ultimate for more memory?

also the LCD is rubbish, and has just 900p resolution., by rubbish i mean bleeding.

I just ordered a 1080p panel on ebay, if install this i can get back full hd resolution right? without the bleeding.

I am just thinking now that since its under warranty i could get dell to replace this (with a full hd one i hope) due to the bleeding?

    what do you think guys?

    cheers in advance.

U need win7 pro or win 8 pro at least. Home version supports only 16gb max. About the bleeding, make some photos and contact aw support. If its hw failure and pc is under waranty they will replace it.

You can't just replace the panel btw, you pretty much need the whole assembly. The display is fused with the panel, so you need to remove the plexiglasss which will be difficult and ugly.
