    a) The R3 only seems to support 750GB HDD. Is it possible to install a second HDD?

    b) And have any of you installed 16GB RAM like this by yourselves? Which RAM would you recommend?

    The r3 has 2 HD bays...i myself have 2 750 drives in a RAID0

And yes you can install the ram in that way...the only catch is that 2 of the slots are under the keyboard and requires a little dismantling to install. the other 2 slots are accessable on the underside..

steve1ddd, I was hoping for just a normal additional HDD and not a RAID (which I'm still not sure what it is---backup, right?)

Typecast, 16GB of Kingston would cost me $50 extra. And I think the increased RAM speed wouldn't affect anything much.

    I'm wondering if the Komputerbay 16GB [(4 X 4GB) DDR3 DIMM (240 pin) 1333Mhz PC3 10600 / PC3 10666 (8-8-8-24)] would work fine on the R3.

    The R3 uses 204 pin SO-DIMM Ram.

The 240 pin ram is for Desktops. So, make sure you don'buy the wrong one.

And i also recommend the HyperX 1600
