Would you see a noticeable difference between 4gb of RAM with timing of 7-7-7-20 VS. 8gb of RAM @ 9-9-9-20? Im just wondering if I'd be better off to exchange my 8gb of OCZ for 4gb of HyperX while still in my return window.

Not in every day things no. Perhaps in benchmarks you'll notice a difference.

I'd just swap for the 4gb, timings are better and probably cheaper. Plus the HyperX modules are pretty solid. I've had issues with some OCZ brand desktop RAM.

Ya i've been reading about the issues. Its been fine for me as of now, but im thinking Id rather ditch em than have something happen and be stuck.

Smart choice thinking about ditching OCZ. I don't trust OCZ anymore lol. I bought two 4gb kits and both had one defective stick causing BSODs and lock ups etc. Too much trouble imo.

I've had my HyperX kit for over a year and swapped them back and forth between systems, tested them thoroughly for days even, never missed a beat.
