I've been trying to run Rage on my m17x-- and even after installing both the AMD Rage performance driver and the Catalyst™ 11.10 Version 2 Preview Driver, the game freezes up every few seconds, making it extremely hard to play.

Any ideas? Is this just me?

Sounds like the 11.10 driver didn't install properly. i would try reinstalling the driver...but make sure the previous one uninstalled properly first.

I did try uninstalling it, but when the process started the uninstaller seemed to be saying that it was uninstalling ALL of the drivers, not just 11.10. So I cancelled it asap.

Would you happen to have a simple guide on how to safely uninstall it?

    Try this:

    • Go into your control panel and uninstall "Display Driver"
    • Reboot...should boot up in VGA mode using default Microsoft VGA driver
    • install from the full 11.10 downloaded .exe from the AMD site
    • Reboot
    • enjoy game!

also make sure u're machine is on high performance mode and not on balanced power mode.

I've been getting variable FPS on Crysis 2 online. Could it be lag? I did try playing online on ultra and extreme.
