Hello everybody,
I have one Alienware M17x-R2 that was underutilized and been kept in store for some time, and recently I pick it up and thinking of using it again as my mobile gaming station.
But upon turning the system on, I failed to boot to desktop. It stuck after the bios and no display whatsoever. My initial guess is that the OS was corrupted, so I tried to install Windows 8 on the system. But when I try to initiate the installation, this shown on the screen :

So I was like, okayy. And upon accessing BIOS, there are several setting for harddisk and I don't remember which setting is the proper one. My ordered specs is 500GB+500GB 7.2RPM Raid-0.
May I know which setting is for me? For your guys information, I tried turning all setting to default but it still not working.
Below are the option to choose on the BIOS;

OH also, when I try to boot in safe-mode, I can successfully use my computer without any problem.
Billion of thanks guys, in advance!
Warmest regards!

SATA operation should RAID. You need to install the IRST driver during installation of Windows 8. Check this out.

First of all thank you for responding!
"SATA operation should RAID"
Just to cross check;
> Should I Enable RAID OPROM UI?
> Mine is Raid-0, so I am guessing I will have to Enable Raid-0 and Disable Raid-1?
And based on the link, there is none for M17x-R2. So which one I shall download?
Thanks again in advance! -

I just noticed I missed the "be" lol.
Yup, you can enable that. It doesn't make any difference.
You need to install the IRST driver located under SATA Devices on support.dell.com for your m17x R2
Raid-related problem(?) on my M17xR2
