    Hello,

    I have Alienware m17x R1 with GTX 280m SLI cards.

    When I started to play games its crashes randomly. I thought its happening because of the overheating but its not.

    I tested my system with Furmark, and I tested it about 10 min going to 72 C and giving no problem.

    Anyone having same problem and who solved problem please reply me.
    Please help me to solve this problem otherwise im going to throw laptop out of window.

    By the way my system properties ;
    Driver : 258.96
    OS : Windows 7 64bit

    Have you tried using the Nvidia control panel and setting the game to use a single GPU instead of SLI? With my R1 280 sli, some games locked the system when using SLI. You have to get the SLI updates as well.

    The 25x GeForce driver series cause black screen freezes on some of our systems (see threads in main Alienware discussion). In my case, it happened most of the times while browsing (disabled hardware acceleration in latest Flash version). I installed the lastest 260.63 beta from Nvidia and they seem to be stable (although not perfect yet). There's one person mentioning too high temps with his 280m sli system, so you might want to read first before you take the jump.
