Well, I've had my M17x for about 2 months now, and I love it! I love how every single component is easily accessible through the bottom cover.
Well, I messed up the BIOS in one way by changing the PowerXPress setting as an experiment.. Made my computer a brick for a bit. I then tried taking out the video card as an attempt to get it to boot again, which worked, and I changed everything back to normal.
But now, whenever I'm using my computer, I'm getting these hiccups and small freezes. For example, I'm playing a song, and every 1-2 minutes the audio, video, mouse, everything would just stop for about 1/2 a second, like it's about to go into a BSOD. It's really annoying, especially for my music.
Now, this doesn't happen when I'm using my Intel graphics card, only the NVidia card.. Also, when I'm playing games or running Prime95, it shows none of those symptoms.
Did I screw up my card somehow, or I didn't install it properly? I followed Dell's disassembly procedures exactly, and I made sure I was grounded when handling the part.

Are you using the R3 model with the 460m and optimus?
If you are, consider following this.

I did it with my 460m, and so far, had 0 bsod, random issues, etc. -
Already have the modded BIOS and latest drivers (280.19)
I'll try moving back down to 275.33
UPDATE:
The 275.33 drivers are no different. I remain with the same problem.
UPDATE 2:
I've tried a couple more times installing the card. I really pushed it in and made sure it was securely placed. Now I don't have any more problems. Just a heads up for anyone with a similar problem.
Random hiccups and freezes. Video card?
