    Random issue

    Yesterday I played a good hour of bf3 with no issues. A few hours later I was ripping some CDs into my iPhone on the m17x r3 screen and loading bf3 to play on my monitor via hdmi (as I usually play.) I got a random error for my 6990m but closed it before I hit to read it. After bf3 loaded I was getting 8fps max! Then all of my alienfx lighting shut off. My first thought was power cable disconnected, but it was still plugged in and the icon showed that to be true.

    Long story short - I had to delete and reinstall 8.950 drivers and re-enable lighting.

    Any ideas what would cause this?
