So, I've been almost 1 year with my trusty Alienware. Right now, there are some random sounds suddenly appearing, sometimes when i use my laptop. Although, I didn't hear them while playing my PS3.
NB: The sound maybe comes from somewhere near the touchpad.

Is this my HDD gone wrong? Or what?

    Any help really appreciated.

    Thanks,
    IndoPr0

It would probably help if you could describe the sounds you hear.

It feels like a few quick clicks, then the sound disappears. And after something like 10 seconds to one minute, the sound appears again.

When i play my PS3 with HDMI In, there is no sound at all.

The sound comes from somewhere near the touchpad.
I worried that this is a HDD problem.

After seeing some pictures of alienware cases, i'm sure it's the HDD.
IS it the click of death or what?

    Thanks.

I've had a hard drive do the same thing b4. Ended up having it replaced. So you are sure it is coming from your HDD and not somewhere else?

I'm quite sure. When I play my PS3 with my laptop as display with HDMI in, the sound didn't show up. I'm sure it's because HDD is idle.
So, I'll backup my data like right now.
