I have to re install Win 7 due to corrupted files. I installed a 2nd hybrid drive a couple of months after buying my XR3. I have them set up as an AHCI config, so that they did not share data, as opposed to a RAID setup. Is there anything different during the Win 7 install, so that the 2nd drive is recognized, particularly when the setup asks about partitions? If I install normally, then shutdown & reboot, will Windows then recognize the drive?
Thanks,
Bill

I don't see why there would be - AHCI (and legacy IDE mode) both have all the drives separately, shown directly to the OS - unlike RAID, which emulates a RAID volume that the OS sees. Just install on whichever drive you want, and you should be good to go.

I did the re install lst night, all went well. When dell tech support did this a few weeks back, 2 nd drive was not listed. Had to do over, as my back up of C drive re installed corrupted files. I am ready to re install drivers and then a ton of fles, YUCK!!!!

I'm glad everything is working well now. IT should not have had any issues.
