So, I reinstalled the operating system, download all the drivers, but for some reason, my M17x R3 won't connect to the wireless.

As you can see, it appears everything is fine.

    Any one got any ideas?

Does it not connect or not see wireless networks? Did you turn on network discovery? Do you have a screenshot Network and Sharing Center?

It doesn't show any wireless networks even though they're available.

When installing the driver I never done it through dell, I went into Windows Devices and downloaded it there.

Here's the folder I get from dell when I download it from them:

I don't know how to run any of them, Dell says it should have a setup.exe but it doesn't.

I'm not seeing it, all I see is what was in the above picture, this is from both the disc and the dell website.

Are you connecting to the Net through a router? Have you clicked on the wireless or network icon in the taskbar and selected a connection point?

I can get you a screenshot on Friday when i go home...unfortunately, i'm away on business until then

The setup.exe might be one level or a few levels higher...and then you pick the driver you want to install

Wired through the router. When unplugged - no connections available.

I can see the router in network map when plugged.

Might try the old trick of resetting the router by turning off and unplugging the router for about 1 minute and then plug back in with the computer and the cable/dsl/x connection already connected. Don't understand why it wouldn't automatically recognize and connect to the modem once logged in or connected (in an open system) to the router.

if you reinstalled the os from the win 7 disk it did not install any of the drivers so you need to install them from the utilities cd you got with the computer i had to do it on my 18x last week would not see any thing till i installed drivers from the disk
