    Billy, just a quick heads-up -

Your issue is the same as the original post. You went a step further and had a system replacement only to encounter the same issue. I've merged your thread with this one for greater exposure. Continue to post updates.

    Thanks.

    Good or bad?

I'm not too sure, but because of this issue, I get to know the people from highest management. In the future, as long as I receive any problem, I can directly reach out to them - don't have to go through all the dummy questions in the lower department again

I talked about the compensation, but they told me to wait till the technician give the reply first, and we can talk about it later. (I doubt...)

    Updated:

This is really weird.... but it actually solved my problem.

I removed both the graphic cards from my old system and place it in my new system, case solved...

I wonder what Dell will say about it  :(

it was just a matter of reseating the cards.
I am sure that you'll stick those from the new one to the old and they'll work too :)

    I doubt that, Mfractal.
Tried that with my R1 and it didn't work. The connector on a secondary card was whacked, it looked like whoever did the assembly put the cable connector into the slot on the card at a funny angle and then just jammed it in with a lot of force. At least that's how it looked in my case.

yeah but the cards didn't work in the first laptop and started working in the second one.. so that might be the case in reverse too :)

Yes, this is extremely weird... Neither I can explain what exactly is going on.

I had THREE technicians working on my old system AND TWO more working on my new system, yet none of them were able to solve the problem.

This also has proven the "lousiness" of the technicians they have in AW/Dell.

The only thing I know now is:
The GPU from my old system DO NOT work in my old system.
The GPU from my old system WORK perfectly in my new system.
The GPU from my new system DO NOT work at all.

And yes, they have a really terrible assembly on the system, making some of the parts "jam". I actually have to use some brute force to dissemble the connector and re-assemble them. Sigh...

Yes, it's "Kinda" fixed, and I pray it's a long-term one, at least must last me for 6 months before another problem occurs again. Hopeless...
