Guys, I dropped my m17x when I was getting up from bed,
the bottom base plastic cracked, and I'm going to buy a new bottom base.
I have a silver, so the lid would be silver.
Which would you guys recommend? black, silver, or red?
Honestly, I'd like to go with red for the looks or something.. any ideas?
Also, do I really have to dismantle the entire laptop to change the bottom base?

Red & silver sounds pretty cool to me! Black and silver seems like "seen that tons before" so go different. I'm sure you have to do a major disassembly for a case change, yes.

just swapped from lunar silver to nebula red last week using parts direct from dell and it was time consuming. Not really hard but you want to take your time and do each step at a time and keep a track of screws and where they belong Everything needs to come out, Dual video cards, 3 fans, 3 heat sinks, magnesium casing, keyboard, trackpad, speaker's, sound board, CD rom drive, IR controller. Anything else that i missed but honestly NEBULA RED is HAWT and i would do it in a heartbeat. I have had all three color and fell in love with nebula red first time i saw it.

Any ideas on the silver-red two tone?
I don't want to drop another $90 on the red lid..
Recommendation for a two-tone m17x!
