Hi, I would like to record GTA V gameplay upon release, which is sadly just for consoles initially. So, can I go about doing this if I use my R4's screen, and using hdmi in? How can I get something like MSI afterburner to work with it? Surely my 7970m can just screen capture at 100% quality?

Thanks for any help in advance!

I would also be interested to know if this works?

I really hope it does. Don't want to buy a recording device just for this!

Also I just want to capture the screen + audio that's being displayed on my screen.

No way that I know of to capture it. It's just a pass through that capture device. You could record the audio I think, not the video that I know of though.

I think the HDMI-in runs through the Intel GPU, and has nothing to do with your 7970M. As far as I know the HDMI-in lets your screen work as an external monitor, as if you had hooked your PS3 up to a TV, and the computer part and the screen part are divided so to speak as long as you use HDMI-in.

Hmm, that's a shame. In your opinion what's the best way of recording it then, at a reasonable quality level?

Well you could try with FRAPS, I don't think it will work though. The PC becomes a monitor only while it is being used through HDMI in.
