    Hi people,

    Picked up an m17 r5 at the weekend with the AMD r9 card, but it looks like it was from the Dell outlet as it had a brown dell box, but it only came with the laptop and power cable, should it have come with a recovery disk or do i just use alienware respawn

    My first R4 came without DVD"s as well :S it was weird because the replacements all came with DVD's. You can by all means make recovery media with re-spawn but if you give them a call they will probably send you the DVD's if you never got any. Give support a call and ask, can't hurt.

    There are no recovery disks anyway. We usually send Windows and Resource (drivers) only. Try using Respawn, I've used it a couple of times without any issues.

    Cool thanks, im not to fussed as long as i can reset to factory image from re-spawn, but i have an m15 too which im selling but there was no option to restore to factory so it was a bit of a mission as i have to find Windows media then install all the Alienware bits again
