Is there any other place that carries compatible fans for the M17xR1?

I ordered the 2nd GPU fan from dell over 2 months ago now. Every time I call I get the same story, it's on back order and should be shipping in about 3 days. It took me 2 hours on the phone to order a simple fan also. I had to request each persons manager because they kept telling me I had to have a teck person come out to install it. Since I only got the basic one year warranty I wasn't going to pay a hundred & something for a freak'n fan. Go fig! Of course since the fan went out I can't even use the thing. So it's a lovely paper weight yet again.

    Venting...

I'm getting really frustrated with Dell! This laptop has not worked more than it has worked in the year & a half I've had it. It took them 7 months to replace the first one after 9 replacement mother boards. So for the first 9 months I didn't actually have a working laptop. The warranty time all used up while I never had a working laptop as well!. Not to mention the amount of time I've wasted on the phone with them, every call was almost 2hrs each with the exact same script each time. Or with a tech guy at the house, usually not sure what he's doing and ripping up all the little HD pads that hold the screws in place when unscrewed.

Looking back I think it was just a simple bad power supply. So every thing they replaced just got fried again.

I got the M11XR2 and they had to replace it as well, with in a month. The power connector was actually in contact with a metal piece next to it, so that actually made some smoke! And surprisingly enough, was bad for it! Other than that, the M11XR2 has worked pretty well. Other than it sometimes forgets it has a display port and has to be power cycled.

Won't even mention the SSD drive and how slow it had to get for them to replace that (teens). Of course they finally did right before they released the upgrade to it's firmware.

What is wrong with this company?

    Done venting.... :D

So any place else I can get these fans? Thanks, & sorry about the venting...

Yep! I don't have the model numbers handy, but you can definitely get them off eBay and the like.
