I am getting a replacement R2 system for my defective R1. The rep put my order in except he put in 6GB of Ram @ 1066mhz. My currenty system has 6Gb 1333mhz. I know this topic has been debated througout the thread, but is it worth cancelling my order just to change the frequency of the memory? The only reason I ask this is b/c the replacement has the i7 920xm in it and I've read (from intel's site) and they say.

    "Integrated Memory Controller
    with DDR3 1333 MHz support
An integrated memory controller with two channels of
DDR3 1333 MHz offers great memory bandwidth.
Combined with the processor’s efficient pre-fetching
algorithms, the memory controller’s lower latency
and higher memory bandwidth delivers amazing
    performance for data-intensive applications ."

Is this just marketing, or do you guys think I will see a noticable/better difference in performance since I'll be using the 920xm?? Thanks

The 1066 memory will give you lower latency and if you plan on OC'ing the 920 (which also OC's the memory) you have more stability from the 1066 memory unless you get better quality 1333 memory.

Thanks Mandrake... So basically what you're saying is.... Stay with the 1066mhz memory, and if I decided to upgrade, buy something aftermarket and not the memory from Dell?

Thanks... That memory is fully compatable with the M17x, especially the R2??? The description would have thrown me off track if I were looking it up myself.

Apologies, I linked the Apple model. I updated the link.. F3 instead of FA. Now it's 10 bucks cheaper than when I bought it too haha.
