Got the replacement in the mail but I have two issues

1- They got the nameplate wrong ("m17x" instead of the custom name, I was specifically told I'd get THE NAME I ORDERED)
2- They didn't include a return shipping label for the flawed system

A manager said they'd followup call me this week but they also stressed I have 10 days to return. I really don't feel like dealing with the "bottom feeders" of Dell's chain of support as I've had nothing but bad (or neutral at best) experiences with them.

Should I just wait for the call to tell them I need a label?

1- For the Name Plate... just switch off the name plate from your old system to the new one (takes a few seconds)
2- The shipping return label is usually in a pouch on the box... if not just call them up and they will send you one.
Heck....even if you don't call them they will send you (another) one in the mail after a week or so has gone by

Cancel your credit card... keep the system... profit? :p

Really though.. The name plate I thought was riveted into the base?? and the shipping label like said above, is usually in that clear pocket on the box.

It has 4 screws...They wouldn't rivet it, that would be stupid.

Why would riveting something onto your property be stupid? You would think, theft wise, rivets would be better then screws.. ;)

Either way it was a guess, calm down.

I'm having this same issue, except the email I got says I have 5 business days to return the notebook (in their possession within 5 days) or I will be billed the cost of the r3 + shipping.

That was 3 days ago and I still don't have a Fedex label.
No one seems to know what's going on. I'll have to call my lv2 dude again tonight, which is a beeyotch

After 90mins on the phone, I finally got a label emailed to me!
I suggest drudging through the phone techs to get it sorted out if you want to make sure things are done correctly.
