In this thread I am requesting some kind person here with HyperX 1600 MHz installed in their M17x R3 to take a SPD of there memory.

Please PM me and provide a link to the dump.

You can use this free tool call EVGA SPD Tool to take the dump.
EVGA | Articles | EVGA SPD Utility

At this stage I am now able to edit timing tables, I am going to make a functional SPD dump that others here can use to flash their stock RAM to run at 1600 MHz, however it may be at CL10 or in the worst case at CL11.

    Rep+1 Cheers.

I have edited the SPD of the HyperX to run at 1600MHz CL10 on both XMP profiles.

This modded SPD is primary aimed at Micron based RAM that is shipped with the M17x R3 with the part number (use CPU-Z to check) of 16JSF51264HZ-1G4D1

The Micron RAM is rated to 761MHz real clock speed or 1522MHz in DDR speeds. I would believe it could make it to 1600MHz.
I can mod the timings higher to CL11 if need be if 1600MHz at CL10 is out of reach.

I haven't tested this as none of the tools I have will allow me to flash with 64bit version of Windows. Therefore is use at your own risk.

Although one good thing is, the RAM's XMP profile has only been modded, therefore the risk is low, as 1333MHz at CL9 is its true rated speed if XMP is not selected in the BIOS :D

Here it is, just rename the .txt extention to whatever you plan to flash your SPD with.

Can you mod hyperx xmp1 to 1600 c7/c8 instead of its default of 1333 c7?

I could do that for you. I would doubt the CL7 at 1600 will work without modding the voltages, which I can do, even then its a crack shot. I think that CL8 could be obtained at 1600 using the normal voltages.
In any case if the machine does not boot, wait and it should reset itself. In the worst case, all you have to do is take the 2 screws off the back and take out the tiny 3v battery for 30 seconds.

There is some thing on the net about HyperX running overclocked at 2133MHz, and from the photos it appears to be the XMP memory doing it. So I would like to mod to that if that is the case.

Maybe also try 1866 c9, since that's the new PnP specs?

I have no qualms with upping to 1.55 or even 1.60 - I've stressed these dimms at 1.55 for ~90mins with no issues @106.15 bclk.

Ram is what is keeping me from obtaining higher OC, so I'm very interested in this.
