This may be a stupid question: Im wondering about the screen resolution and the aspect ratio on the M17x. Since its not 1080p and not 16:9, when I play blu rays, will there be black bars on the top and bottom, and how will the resolution work (will it go down to 1080p? What about hidef streaming video? Thanks!

Yes, there will be black bars at the top and bottom of the screen when watching bluray movies and while streaming 16:9 content. On the bluray side, there will most likely be black bars at the top and bottom of the screen even if you had a 16:9 screen. All of my Bluray movies present in their original theatrical aspect ratios (2.35:1 or 1.85:1) which leaves black bars at the top and bottom even on my 52" Samsung LCD in my living room. Enjoy the extra pixel realestate, it's a good thing.
