There is no option to set the fans to my native resolution which is 1920x1080. Is there a way around this? I've been looking around but the proposed solutions didn't work for me.

Definitely not fun when you aren't playing in your native res.

Anyone who can shed some light would be great.

Not following. Can you rephrase "set fans to my native resolution"? As I have researched, Prototype has issues with high screen resolutions. What solutions have you tried. On the steam forums, many users are using modded .dll files that allow for HD screen resolutions.

Hey sorry guys about that. I was on my phone and it autocorrected what was suppose to be game. Essentially, set the game to my native res which is 1920x1080.

I am struggling to find a modded file that actually works. I have tried two and other various methods, which were all in vain.

The highest resolution option is 720, which is awful as you can imagine.

Hmm don't think this option would change your graphics quality ... but check this out:
    https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=1040-JWMT-2947

-w <width> - Forces the engine to start with resolution set to <width>.
-h <height> - Forces the engine to start with resolution set to <height>. This launch option does not need to be set in the presence of -w. The width value with determine the height automatically.

If you go to Steam, right click Prototype and go to properties.. I think you could just write:

    -w 1920 -h 1080

If you try it tell me if it works :)

EDIT: here's a couple different fixes apparently, check it prototype, need help fixing resolution, meet requirements - Steam Users' Forums

Hi guys. Apologies for the extremely late reply, I left the tab open, meaning to reply as soon as I tested it, but unfortunately I closed the tab ;p

Changing the properties didn't change anything it seems. The second solution didn't work either, unfortunately. However it did change one thing. When I normally log on to the game, it automatically sets the game in the lowest possible resolution, so I have to go into options, change it to 720. With the modded.dll it sets it to the highest resolution as soon as I open the game.

In essence, the problem remains, it won't play at my native resolution (1920x1080)

I think I've given up trying to find a solution, I'll just settle for 720.

Thanks for the replies and endeavors involved.
