So, im all set for a fresh install of windows tongiht, untill a guy i work with says he's never seen any computer that has windows shipped on it, come with a Windows install disc, only a back up disc or system image. Is this correct?
I checked my disc's and my Windows disc only says for Recovery or Back up. Do i have the wrong disc?
Also, i spoke to a Dell rep, installing an after market SSD void's your warranty. If in the event of a hardware faliure, could i just remove the SSD and do a back up on my Dell HDD with Respawn? (i plan to use the Dell HDD as Data)Would they know?

Yes you do have a Windows DVD that you can do a fresh install on your SSD with it.
Yes, you can put your original HDD back in the sad event of a system failure and make a respawn. Just create a backup image of the install on your HDD and save it just in case.

OR take the original HDD and store it somewhere. In case of disaster install the original HDD and youre done.
But then again you have to buy a second HDD. -

I think it's a better idea to back up your stock HDD and restore when you need to. This way you can make use of it instead of storing it and let it collect dust.
Here's a thread that will help you:
