Can anyone please enlighten me as to the benefits of respawn over such as Acronis (or others).
Real life experience of use from you is the most valuable bit of info.
Thanks in advance.

I really tried to like respawn....I invested the $40.00 in the upgrade and tried to use the product. It does not do partiton backups like acronis or ghost. You can get clonezilla or Partimage for free to do that. It does not back up over the network, but if you got Windows 7 ultimate, it will back up over the network. It is supposed to do file and folder backups along with full system backups, but the latest upgrade seems to have made the system backup option disappear from my menu. You must leave your disk partitioned in the 3 funky partitions it comes with from the factory if you want to use respawn (which does not make any sense to me at all).
I have spent dozens of hours trying to get fully confident in backup and recovery with respawn - which was a huge waste of time. It is really a poorly designed product that is marginally functional, I only hung with it so long because of my $40 investment.
I finally gave up and use windows back up and clonezilla for my data recovery needs. -
I perfer Achronis True Image. I have images created of my storage drive, my RAID 0 setup, and my benchmarking SSD. If I ever need to wipe the drives, I just re-image. I like it because it's easy, useful and I don't have to go through the process of installing everything and tweaking everything.

Same here, i just use the basic that works for my needs. Make an image and to restore it if needed

I just backup my data files and do a clean install with my OS disk.
With SSD drives, an image restore seem to be more of an issue, and best that a clean format and OS install is done anayways.
I carry a 8 GB USB drive with all my OS, Office, and Drivers on it.
Respawn verses others
