    Restoring to factory settings on new disk drive

    I've just bought a new SDD drive, smaller from my original AW one, and been having trouble installing windows again from a AlienRespawn backup.

    I tried booting the backup disk and choosing Continue with system recovery disk > Select other system backup and more options > Restore my Computer. After a few minutes the system told me it installed properly and to reboot. but when I reboot I get an error:

    The boot selection failed because the required device is inaccessible

    It's set to boot up from the primary hdd and I don't have a windows disk to repair it as it is a factory refurbished model.

    Is it even possible to do a fresh install from an AlienwaRespawn restore disk I wonder?

    Panic over! I tried reinstalling after I remove the seconday HDD and it seems to have done the job :)
