Hi I recently bought an m17x r4, it came last Wednesday. I was excited to see how well it ran some of my games. I bought with it the gtx 675m. On all the games I've tested it runs fine! however 2 out of the 5 games that I've tried so far will not run because of Optimus. (these games being GTA 4 and Mafia 2) GTA 4 won't recognize my Nvidia card and Mafia 2 won't even start. I've done research and I'm pretty confidant that the reason they aren't working is because of Optimus. I'm kind of upset because I spent so much money on this laptop and now it won't play 2 of my favorite games? I know this isn't dell's fault it's nvidia's.

What I want to know is can I send my laptop back to have them give me a graphics card that will actually run the games I'd like it to? These were 2 of the key games I was planing on playing and again I can't because of Optimus. If they won't give me a new card would I be able to get a refund? because I feel this is sort of ridiculous. So what do you think are my options? Thanks for the help!

Edit: for some reason I've been having trouble posting on this site. Sorry.

Try this, or if you don't care about Optimus, then you can just disable it through the modded A08 bios.

Thanks for the response guys! Whitelisting was one of the very first things I tried and it didn't work. I'm able to run one game in particular in windowed mode (which isn't that bad but its still annoying). Maybe these are the only 2 games I will have problems with though? Idk :(

Can you possibly just disable the integrated graphics and make it so your 675 is the default? you should be able to do this in the bios but i dont know if you need a modded bios for this.
