Hey, before I buy I just wanted to know if these specs are fine. Also, some of these specs I ran off what my friend said was good so if any aren't that necessary or important, please tell me whyI wasn't sure about the RAID 0 placement of the SSD, so what's the best place to install the SSD as?
Thanks in advance.

no need to review. its the official R2 ultimate spec (except bluray). Go search benchmarks and reviews of it online.

It is the ultimate setup. The only thing I would ask is, do you really need the 940XM processor? Yes it's amazing, but it's also a $1,000 dollar upgrade. It comes down to what you use your computer for. Also, with solid state drives there's a trade off between speed and space. If you need a lot of storage space it might be better to go with standard drives, or a combination where you have your OS and most heavily used apps on the SSD, and everything else on your regular HD.

Personally, unless you need to have the computer NOW, I'd recommend cancelling/returning and waiting for the R3 M17x which should be out very early next year.
You're talking next generation Sandy Bridge processors, and nVidia 5xx / ATi 69xx graphics. That's potentially a huge leap up from the current setup, possibly for the same price. -

If I am interpreting the leaked benchmarks in the other thread correctly, it isn't a huge leap.
And to the OP, lose the 940 and the SSDs and buy them aftermarket and install them yourself. You will save a LOT of money. $1,000 for that CPU is a slap in the face when the 920XM (same chip as the 940XM) can be had for less than half of that. -
I have the same setup for the most part.
Personally I don't think the price for the SSD is worth it, I have the 1.2 TB Raid 0 and it flys.
With the 940xm and the 8gb of ram there is nothing it wont be able to handle quite easily.
As for the 940xm, I got mine only because my work paid for half of my laptop, the 740 or 840 is more than good enough IMO and it will save you $1250
Review my specs please :)
