So why doesn't this combination work?

Is there a way around it. Because jus stating it's because of windows os limitation is complete BS.

The must be some kind of tweak to force this to work :S

I can't strafe jump this way...
And I don't want to remap.

Hello, vree, to put it short there's no way around this and it's not just Alienware laptops, hence why some of us use mechanical keyboards.
