I bought a new SSD for my M17x R3, its a vertex 2 120gb, so far I have gotten BSOD during different times trying to install windows to installing the drivers to updating windows, I tried following Batboys guide to set up a SSD, and also Jywangs guide as well, the error code I keep recieving is IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, from what I understand it could be a multitude of problems to any driver, to the memory, to the Wifi card. My specs are as follows:

    2630 QM
    GTX 460M
    4gb RAM
everything else standard other than the second HDD which is a 120 GB seagate, that I used on the original HDD that came with the computer.

Did you put it in port 1?
Make sure it is not in RAID mode in the bios.

Install drivers except CC and video drivers.

Run Windows update a couple of times.
    Install video drivers and CC.

Did you put it in port 1? Yes
Make sure it is not in RAID mode in the bios. I heard some people prefer Raid over AHCI, but will still try it.

Install drivers except CC and video drivers. Will have to try this

Run Windows update a couple of times.
    Install video drivers and CC.

I don't install the 3D driver, just the standard 460M one, I know the 3D one BSOD, but at this point im about to take it into a local Dell certified Computer store and see if they can do it.
