    Hi,
Apart from my GPU which seems dead, I have another problem.
My SSD used to give me a 7.9 in the Windows prestation index. However, after formatting my laptop it only gives me a 7.8. CrystalDiskMark confirms this: max read speed is only 263MB/s; while my ssd should get 400+. I have the A08 bios, set to AHCI and as far as I know I'm not missing any drivers. My ssd is also placed in HDD bay 0.

Does anyone know what can cause this sudden performance decrease?
    I have the Crucial M4 128GB.

Your SSD should be in bay 0. Also installing Intel RST causes that problem. Both my ports run full speeds because I only installed the chipset drivers and nothing else.

For real dude ?? you put in port 0 and still achieve SATA 3 speed ? Do you run benchmark to make sure you're running on that speed ?? what BIOS version do you use now ?

I reinstalled Windows and now the SSD performance seems normal; so it probably indeed was a driver causing problems. Widezu69, can you please give the RXXXX name of the chipset driver? Or a link to the driver on the Dell website? Then I don't risk installing the wrong driver again. The only Intel driver I currently have installed is the one for the HD3000.

^^Correct, I installed all those but avoided the Intel Rapid Storage driver. That reduces Sata speeds.

do you get TRIM without RST? might not be applicable for beast alien because seems he's running raid 0, but when they eventually support trim in raid 0, it may be a different story

TRIM is enabled without RST. The OP isn't running RAID 0 so RST doesn't matter too much.

wasn't talking about OP...was asking a question about RST and TRIM

Oh right sorry. Yeah TRIM works without RST but it won't on RAID.

Is there anyway to get past the 3Gb sata driver without formating my computer? ^^

I do not run raid 0 with my 2 SSD's and yes I have trim without Intel RST installed. I have one as my primary OS and the other as my storage drive. Raid 0 is too risky, if one drive fails all data is ruined, so no raid 0 for me.

Sorry for the late reply. Yes you can install the drivers above as it has nothing to do with your graphics card, only the CPU.
