    So i am giving away my laptop m17x r3 ...and wiped the laptop off....and i was trying to figure out the wireless drivers ...since the card inside isnt the one that came from dell (as replaced by the original owner) ...can someone give me any software that can tell me the name of the wireless card.....or if someone can show me where is the wirelss card located ..ill read the name off it .

    device manager
    right click on your unknown device/wireless card and hit properties
    goto the details tab
    goto hardware Id
    right click,copy, and paste a line into google to get the name of the adapter

    you can also type "msinfo32" on the start menu and on "components" find "Network" and then "Adapter", It'll give you all the information for that network adapter.

    Thanks guys ...@dev +rep .i actually dint know about the hardware id ...but good to know .....i was able to run hwinfo32 and pull of the information needed
