    Hey guys,

Is it safe to switch back and forth between an SSD and HDD that have been restored with the same restore discs? I have an SSD in right now with rapid mode installed and I am on the dedicated graphics card. I was thinking that if I switch back to the integrated graphics card and turn off rapid mode then I could safely remove the SSD and replace it with the HDD without causing problems with the SSD. That way when i replace the HDD with the SSD again I wont have to worry about programs or problems with the SSD not working properly. I need to get some information off the HDD. That is why I am asking.

If there is info on your HDD that you need I would suggest installing the HDD in either the second slot in your computer (if you have one) or in an external HDD enclosure. Do you have a portable HD that you can open up and remove the HD in there and install the HDD that you need the info off?

If you only plan on installing the HDD to get the info you need I don't see a problem.

Are your drive bays already full? You know this system can hold up to three HDD's with the optical drive removed?

Even if they have the same os key the 2nd hdd can be put in as a data drive with no risk of funny things going on.
