Hi I have been reading the treads in this forum for awhile. And it looks like that the M17x r2 is no better and the M17x r1 It seems to me that there are many of the same problems on them. I have been running my M17x r1 for a long time and have no broblem what so ever. Is there others out here that dont have problems with there M17x r1 ? Sorry for my bad English.

Aside from my adapter burning out (which never happened again), I've had no problems with my original m17x, and so far, my brand new red m17x R2 is purring like a kitten.

Keep in mind, people tend to post to forums when they have problems, not when everything is just peachy....

My R1 is superb. Its constantly on the move with me for my Job and hasn't let me down once.
It was a Refurb when I got it so Im glad I got a decent one.

Only slight problem is Dells CPU clock modulation when under load (see stutter thread) but it can be fixed with software (Throttlestop).

As Mickbt26 said the issue with the M17XR1 was the stutter due to CPU Throttling. Since i received my M17XR2 replacement i have had no issues other then some dead pixels which she be fixed in a couple days.
