Quick question: are hard drives screwed into the M17xR4's removable drive caddies?
Long version: I'm thinking of getting an 830 bare drive, which is a 7mm thick SSD. The bare drive doesn't include the plastic spacer that lets it fit snugly in taller bays. Do I need the spacer to get it to fit inside the M17xR4 drive caddies, or is the drive screwed down into the caddy, removing the need for a spacer?
Thanks!

Not spacer is needed. All will fit fine.

Yes, there are 4 screws to secure the HDDs into the caddies.

Thanks! I'll go ahead and order then. =)

Bump to add that an empty 2.5" drive bay on the R4 will come with screws, so you don't need additional parts to install your own drive. Kudos for the attention to detail and making life easier on your customers!

Good to know. I just ordered one for my new laptop also and it's great to know that it will work with no issues. Can't wait to get it!
