    It'll work without problems and the Samsung 840 Pro is a very nice choice.

    i am jealous..... might go down this pathway meself,.. though i do have the Dell OEM 830, that i was wondering whether would be compatible for MBP circa end 2011-SB so i can go for a guilt free upgrade with the 840 pro

    I installed the 512 GB version (so same dimensions) - no adapter needed, fit perfectly!
