Can some on confirm what voltage they have sent to their 580m GPU on the HWINFO64 GPU +12v line.
Mine reads just over 9 volts not the 12 I was expecting reading the HWINFO line.

    This is on a M17xR3 with a 580m.

    Thanks.

Mxm3.0b takes 3 different voltage lines. 5.0v-2.5A, 3.3v-1A and 7-20v-10A which depends on battery size and charge as well. 12v is coming on third line and can vary between 7-20v, so calm down, it's normal.

Not 100% sure on the voltages for oc side but it should be only for die itself. I could be completely off topic and wrong here though.

If the voltage was way out you would either get really realistic smoke effects or black outs ;)

Actually you're spot on - blackouts, my system just shutsdown, well more of just switches off than shutsdown.
Sometimes just a dead screen for a few seconds usually followed by a reboot leaving no crash dump and the "the system shutdown unexpectedly" message in the logs.
Was just trying to establish if it was the GPU at fault.

Try keeping a close eye at temps, that 580 can build a lot of heat and if fans/heat sinks are not clean. It can do pretty crazy things to rest of the motherboard.
