I have started to have issue with my system, it locks up and seems to have problems reading the HDD's, it sits there wuth the curser busy and I have to force a reboot, when I do this I get an error as it seems to try to boot from the network device, switch off and on again and all is fine for a few days then it does it again, is it possible that the original intel chip problem was not fixed - gut feel is that is what this problem looks like - a sata port going down seems to be port 0, when it reboots I get this message

    Intel UNDI, PXE-2.0 *********
    Check cable connection
    PXE-M0F:Exiting Intel PXE Rom
    no bootable device

that's not the whole text but enough for anyone else to recognise, booth HDD's show as ok before this happens, it's as if the system cannot access the HDD yet they work error free for days and have been scanned several times with no problems, it just seems the MB/chipset is unable to access the HDD's, no errors in the system logs, it just stops working....weird

    anyone else see this senario
