    Scammers trying to buy my R3

    So I put an add up on Craigslist....so far one "woman" wanted to pay me via mail order and have me shipt to Africa (worst scam ever)
    and one guys wanted my Service tag....i offered to show him the laptop in person but not give up my service tag via email.....no reply (probally scam)
    grrrrrrrr....weeding through the scams is a real pain

    What's wrong with paying via mail order? As long as her check or w/e clears, then it's okay, right?

    Also, nice set up :D It's the same as mine in so many areas :D

    That is Craigslist for you. I sell a lot of stuff there but electronics always attract scammers. Anyone whos initial email ask "is item still available" without referencing what it is, or says, "I really need this" is a scammer 99% of the time.

    Best bet on CL is always cash locals only. Can't get ripped off that way.

    Don't accept any kind of check, they can clear initially only to bounce days
    Later. Best not to risk it. Also watch out for fake PayPal emails. They look real, but if you log into your PayPal account there is no money or record. They are easy to identify because if you click on the email address they may have "PayPal" in the name, but they are not Paypal. For example: [email protected] or Service Paypal ([email protected])

    Oh Slick this is big time fraud attempt, had the same thing last year, they are just trying to hack your paypal email..
