I've read some people having issues with their screens getting scratched when they close their lids. I'm still waiting to receive my m17x, but I was wondering if this was still an issue? If so, anyone know a good place to purchase a good screen protector that will fit the m17x? I've seen some on sell on eBay, but I'm not sure how good the quality is. I have ordered screen protectors off of eBay for my cell phone, but most of the time the quality is crap.

Sorry that problem is still there...

Even im looking for a screen guard which would also minimize the screen's mirror like effect.

Has anyone tried the screen guard available for purchase in the accessories tab when when buying alienware mx17 at alienware.com?

    TRY THIS :
Im currently using a inspiron lappy and i have this rubber/silicon cover for the keyboard. Its removable just by picking it :D

Its not even 1$ and i got it from my local shop, and they cut the rubber according to your laptop keyboard size.

I'm not really interested in a cover for the keyboard. I don't want to cover up the nice lighting that is has. I'm more interested in a clear screen protector that fits perfectly (or as close to perfect). I might just try one out from eBay. If anyone has any experience with one from eBay, please comment on it.

I use this when the screen is closed. It doubles as a screen cleaner as well.

    Screen protecor review

No, the keys don't rub the screen when closed but as a precautionary measure, I put a thin microfibre cloth between the screen and keyboard when I close it.

I've read that review. I'm not looking for an anti-glare screen protector as I find they take away from the vibrant colors. I'll be using my m17x indoors mainly and won't be bothered by glare as much. I'll be researching for a crystal clear protector. I'll post a review once I get one. It might be after I move to England though.

Oops. Sorry then. If you just want a screen protector so that your laptop screen is not scratched while closed, i suggest you use a thin micro fiber cloth.
