    Hi,

I have an Alienware M17X R3. It is about 1 year old.

It looks like that depending on what colors are displayed in the screen, my laptop brightness changes...

I've done some tests with multiple tab openned in my browser.
About 1 second after going into another tab with different colors, the screen brightness changes a bit.

I plugged in my XBOX in my hdmi port and played. The screen brightness change every few secs. My understanding of the hdmi in port is that the signal doesn't go through the video card(to avoid capture). So I'd guess that its my monitor that is bugged.

The brightness troubles doesn't happen to my external monitors.

It is just really annoying when playing games or reading/scrolling down a web page to have the brightness changing.

Anyone ever saw a problem like that? Is it software or hardware related?

Oh yea, my computer is still under warranty but before contacting them, I wanted to see if that happenened to anyone before.

    Thanks

    Ion

What video card do you have? And what driver version are you running?
