    So I was looking around on a webshop for second-hand items in Belgium, and I came across a few deals for the Alienware M17x R3. One had a Radeon 6970M, the other one had a 6990M. Both are being sold for around 800€.

    My question is, should I buy one of these? Or has anyone else bought an Alienware laptop second-hand?

    If you are going to get a second hand Alienware you should get the R2. They have a better screen, dual gpu and as most alienwares are easily upgradable

    You can take a look at 2nd hand laptops in the US here. You can get it here and ship it to you. However the 6990 one looks good :) I'm ok with the 2nd hand after several tests performed haha.

    That's the problem, the laptop needs to be fine.. I don't want to spend 1000€ on a broken Alienware :) and here they only sell R3's... maybe they don't want to sell their R2's :p
